Roman Goddesses grew from my interest in writing peaceful, expressive music that tells a story without words. Each of these twelve piano solos was inspired by the character and symbolism of a Roman goddess. Their stories provided ideas for melody, harmony, rhythm and structure, allowing each piece to become its own musical portrait. The pieces explore a variety of keys, time signatures and harmonies, offering pianists musical challenges while remaining accessible and enjoyable to play.
